Ruth Jones photography.

So today I was in the studio with fellow photographer and friend Ruth Jones, and she decided to take my portrait. The real me, the real stressed out tired looking me.

Check out her blog her, she's got some great projects on the go.

Dead town.

This fine art project I'm working on is inspired death and tragedy within a community, in this case im focusing especially on my own home town; March, part of The Fens in Cambridgeshire. The images below are only a starting point of which I'm continuing over the coming months to better the quality and get more in depth stories behind the events that have happened

People may or may not understand quite what I'm trying to achieve within this series but on expansion and depth I am hoping to achieve a hard hitting documentary piece that evokes your emotions and thoughts. Each one of these spaces that I have photographed have experienced death in one way or another.

The biohazard
A house of which a body was found and had been removed out of.

The accident
The place of a tragic car crash, the family or friends often lay new flowers and crucifixes in their memory.

The mystery
Only recently the body of a middle aged gentleman was found in the river Nene.

The graveyard
The traffic accident scrap yard has a eerie atmosphere always with hundreds of mutilated car bodies are left.

'GET YOUR GOBS OUT' project

I need your gobs. I'm developing a project revolved around the use of our mouths; the normal uses, the perverted uses, the more unusual uses. This series will be on going for a long time producing near to the hundred mark in terms of photographs I wish to have by the completed project.

If you think you would like to take part in this project just leave a comment below or speak to me personally so I can arrange a small shoot to produce the photos. I would just like to say I'm not looking for anything in specific and nothing one dimensional, in fact more towards to the complete opposite of the spectrum. the idea is to capture as many differences in terms of the way we look, our confidence in front of the camera, the way we interact with others and other objects and so forth.

I will by the end constructed a large scale library of images show casing a huge variety in our species. The photograph above is just a simple one I took of myself as a starting point to my project so by any means don't think the whole series will be as bland as that one. I'll be looking forward to the end result and hope some of you will turn this into something well worth my time.

pinkEYE

So I have a bloody eye infection which in fact makes me look like a drunk, drugged up Chinese bloke. that is all.

Standground Dog Racing

So on the 21st it was my brother Kirk's 21st birthday. Happy Birthday for then Big Bro.

We went to the dog racing which i had never been before, it  was a laugh boozed up on beer braving it out with my money wasting it away. Choosing the dogs with the queerest of names from the lists didn't exactly pay off but never mind had a ball anyway.

He's going to Paris this week with his girlfriend, which i have to admit I have extremely jealous of, he's going to spend the week in some posh tot hotel and do French tings'. I'm forcing it upon his to take a disposable camera, and if he doesn't take one i will be awfully unhappy chappy.

My rock.

A mothers love is the greatest love.

Without my Mum I'd be nothing, she makes my life worth while. We have our squabbles and arguments like any Mother son relationship should but I still adore the woman, she has gone through hell and back just to get me to where I am. I owe a lot more credit and appreciation than I actually give to her, I also owe the world to this superwoman; I'm going to make it my life goal to buy her a yellow Beatle car, a fancy villa abroad and a slice of George Clooneys ass.

Nature's Lovers

Nature's Lovers

Recently my work, focus and passion has taken a turn in a different direction from my prior projects. I had never recognised how personal some of my previous unpublished projects have been, I realised that the majority of my photographs document my life and myself in one way or another. It may not be clear to everyone how at the moment but I shall be posting a lot more personal in depth posts revealing the darker sides to my own personal life.  From taking a completely new perspective on my work I am planning to create a powerful voice within it that you may or may not agree with, we shall have to wait and see.

Today is the beginning of my yet to be titled project i shall be working on throughout the up and coming year focusing on the harsh reality of life and death of our countries critters. This piece of work will be documenting the way our roads and streets are the graveyards to some of the cutest of beings we often see around. Our ignorance has left us unaware of the graphic sights we see on a daily basis whilst travelling on the roads. We seem to longer seem to have respect for mother nature nor all the damage we are causing so I am producing this personal graphic insight to the destructive ways of our every move.

More News
I have several more projects which I will be developing over the next months.
A photographic documentation of how modern day society and the media expects males and females of a homosexual orientation to be a a certain specific stereotypical way. Being a bender myself I strongly dislike how I am perceived to act, live, and have the personality of this highly conventional manor. If anyone either themselves or know of someone, gays and lesbians, who would like to photographed as part of this series please get in touch as it will be very much appreciated.
